1. Deliver good, clear, and simple educational information to the general public and training for medical students who will be the teachers of the future.
2. Educate people of both developed and underdeveloped nations on ways to prevent infection.
3. Disinfect surfaces routinely, but not obsessively – e.g., after dealing with raw meats.  Targeted disinfection is important.
4. In respect of threat of Avian Flu, a key message for public is:
   “You can do so much more for yourself in order to make a difference.”
5. Should there be an outbreak of Avian Flu, vaccines and antiviral drugs will be important and will go hand-in-hand with good hygiene measures.
