Dr Sandip Kumar Ray
Dr Sandip Kumar Ray, Professor Head, Department of Community Medicine Medical College, Kolkata, West Bengal.  Educated at Calcutta University and then at Banaras Hindu University, Dr Ray has over 30 years experience. 

Dr Ray has been involved in many initiatives and has a wide range of experience in the area of community medicine.  As Co-ordinator & Secretary General of Indian Public Health Association he has conducted 10 workshops on Reproductive and Child Health in different parts of the country and jointly prepared a manual for this purpose. The program was conducted in collaboration with Ministry of Health & FW, Government of India & WHO during 2001 and also in 2005.

Dr Ray has been involved as a consultant and facilitator of several government and UNICEF funded projects in India.  He has also been the Principle Investigator for numerous community medicine and public health studies carried out in India and West Bengal.

He is the author of 50 publications in various National and International Journals including Indian Journal of Public Health, Journal of Communicable Disease and the Indian Journal of Community Medicine.
